The fog was extremely heavy the night I arrived at the volunteer firehouse. There were a few cars in the parking lot and the first door I tried was locked. The second door opened up to a brightly lit room with a few people sitting behind tables, a decorated Christmas tree and Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus sitting in two oak chairs. I asked one of the volunteers sitting at a table how many children they were expecting. She said it depends, some years they have quite a few but you can never tell. Might be less this year because Santa had made a visit to the local school that day.

Several minutes passed and a couple came through the door with their two sons. You see the youngest of the two above, on Santa's lap, trying to get his fingers situated to show two. His older brother wanted nothing to do with the bearded man handing out candy.
